Students' passive knowledge will become active through the carefully-staged, meaningful speaking tasks throughout the course. Time has been specifically built into the speaking exercises so that students can carefully prepare what they want to say and how to say it.

Grammar and lexis

YES academy sees the development of speaking skills as of key importance, but we also recognise the importance of providing a solid grammatical framework for students to make progress.

Students are encouraged to 'notice' new grammar and new vocabulary in contexts where the meaning is clear. They are then given opportunities to manipulate the new language - try it out in different situations through a wide variety of engaging practice and personalised activities.
